The Vorteq® Trailer is designed to reduce the risk of injury to vehicle passengers from impact with stationary (Barrier Vehicle) or slow-moving (Shadow Vehicle) trucks in work zones when impacted within the criteria established by NCHRP Report 350. The system attaches to the rear of a truck and may be used in stationary applications (e.g. as a truck blocking a work zone) and mobile operations (e.g. striping, sweeping, plowing, etc.).
